Preparing A Little Girl’s Birthday Slumber Party

December 2nd, 2009

Many little girls like to have their friends over for a slumber party when it is their birthday. Parents can experience pressure and stress when organising a sleep over for their daughter. Some parents put this pressure on themselves as they try to organise a better party than any of the other mums at school. There is time and effort that goes into organising a fun girl’s slumber party, but it will be worth it when your daughter tells you it was the best night ever.

Fancy dress themes are fun ways to start a sleep over and you can have a theme or leave it open. A pink velour tracksuit is fun when everyone is dressed up the same, or make it princess themed. Making the clothing fun takes pressure off parent to find something suitable for their child to go to the party in.

Get the food right and you are sure to have a great children’s party. Take into account any allergies or dietary requirements that any of the children have. Once this has been ascertained, you can go wild with the food you provide for the kids. So you don’t need plates, knives or forks, keep food finger sized and easy to pick at.

Try to make sausage rolls, pizza, cakes and sweets, all of which are children’s favourites. You can provide some healthy alternatives too like fruit pieces and vegetables but they might not get eaten as quickly as the other things.

Have the children bring their own sleeping bag or duvet if you do not have enough to go around. The more comfortable the sleeping arrangements are, the less chance of you having grumpy guests in the morning.

Your daughter will be happy with her birthday slumber party if you follow this advise.
